FAFSA Student Aid Assistance Days

Do you have a child heading to college next year? Have you completed the FAFSA? The FAFSA process can make adults and students feel overwhelmed but don’t distress because there is help available.

Northern Credit Union and Cornell Cooperative Extension of Jefferson County (CCE) are offering FREE FAFSA assistance. A College Financial Readiness Counselor from CCE will be available on a walk-in basis to:

- answer questions about the FAFSA process
- offer resources on scholarships
- provide tips on saving for college
- complete a FAFSA application


Please RSVP if you plan to attend and remember to bring the following:

  • FAFSA FSA IDN
    This must be done at least 3 days prior to your appointment. You will not be able to complete the FAFSA without a FSA ID. You can request a FSA ID at https://fsaid.ed.gov/npas/index.htm
  • Name, Address and Telephone Number
  • Social Security Number and Date of Birth
  • Driver’s License
  • Email Address
  • Parent and Student’s Prior Year Federal Tax Return or Earnings and W-2
  • Parent and Student’s Non-Taxed Income List of Assets
  • Colleges You Want to Receive FAFSA
