F&M Bank Smart Swipe

Program Terms & Conditions

 

F&M Bank’s Smart Swipe program is designed to help you save money by rounding up point-of-sale debit card purchases from your F&M personal checking account to the nearest dollar and depositing the excess funds into your designated F&M personal savings account.  The total round up (excess) amount will be posted as a single transaction to your personal checking account (withdrawal) and single transaction to your personal savings account (deposit).  The transaction description is “Transaction Round Up” for both the checking and savings transaction.


The Smart Swipe calculation is processed on point-of-sale debit card purchase transactions posted to your personal checking account.  Recurring debit card transactions and those shown as "presented only" are not included in the calculation.  If any debit card transaction is subsequently canceled or reversed, the corresponding transfer to your savings account will not be reversed and funds will remain in your savings account

 

F&M Bank will not round up debit card transactions if you do not have enough funds in your checking account to complete the Smart Swipe transfer.  Smart Swipe transfers will resume the next day that sufficient funds are available.


All debit cards linked to the enrolled checking account will be enrolled in Smart Swipe.  If you receive a new debit card due to your current card being lost, stolen, or reissued, your participation in Smart Swipe will continue.  You will not be required to re-enroll in the program.  We may cancel or modify Smart Swipe at any time without prior notice.


If the enrolled checking or savings account is closed, Smart Swipe will be canceled.  You may suspend Smart Swipe for a specific time period or cancel your participation at any time by contacting our bank at 800-645-4199 (Mon. – Thurs. 8:30 am – 4:00 pm CST   Fri. 8:30 am – 5:30 pm CST).  Please note:  Smart Swipe transactions may still occur within 2 banking days after notification of cancellation.


I understand that each debit card linked to the checking account number I enroll will be enrolled in Smart Swipe.  Point-of-sale debit card transactions processed using linked cards will be rounded up to the nearest dollar with the excess funds being transferred to my designated savings account number.  I have read and I agree to accept the Terms and Conditions of Smart Swipe with F&M Bank.
